Privacy Policy

HxH offers live video chat, shared games, and Mog Battle. This page explains the data used to connect players, maintain accounts and rankings, and review abuse reports.

Camera, Microphone, and Live Calls

Live chat and Mog Battle use your device's camera and microphone with your permission. Mog Battle face landmarks and scores are computed entirely on your device, in real time. Scores and round results are sent to the server to run the game and update rankings. The scoring system does not use face landmarks to identify you.

During a live call, camera and microphone media are transmitted to the other participant through WebRTC. The connection may use a relay server when a direct connection is unavailable. HxH does not record full calls. Moderation features can capture and upload still images when content is flagged or a player reports a call; those images may be stored for abuse review.

What We Store on Our Servers

Data used by the Service includes:

• A username and display name you choose, plus an optional avatar image URL.
• An email address if you sign in with one (we use a one-time code and never see a password) or join the waitlist.
• An optional Telegram link or Discord handle if you connect one.
• Duel data: scores, win/loss, ELO before and after, match mode, friend-code/room metadata, and timestamps.
• Your in-game currency balance, owned items, and a log of balance changes.
• Friend requests and connections, direct messages and read status, public profile comments and votes, and recent public chat history.
• Player reports and automated moderation flags, including categories, descriptions, scores from moderation checks, and any captured screenshots, for review by moderators.
• IP addresses, browser fingerprints, connection activity, and ban records used for rate limiting, ban enforcement, and abuse review.

What Stays on Your Device

Your browser stores authentication information, preferences, and the dismissal state of one-time prompts. The installed web app may also cache files for loading. You can clear this data in your browser's site settings; clearing it does not delete server-side account or message records.

Who Else Touches Your Data

A small number of third-party providers help us host, deliver, and operate HxH. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices. We don't share your data with anyone for advertising, profiling, or model training.

Retention

Account, game, and social records support your profile, history, and conversations. Recent public chat history and rate-limit records expire automatically. Deleting an account does not automatically erase direct-message content from another participant's history; it may appear under a deleted-account label. Contact us with a deletion request so we can review the account and associated records.

Age Eligibility

HxH is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted information or is using the Service, contact us so we can review the account and associated data.

Your Choices

• Revoke camera or microphone permissions in your browser. Live chat and Mog Battle require access to work as intended.
• Leave a call or stop playing at any time.
• Clear HxH site data in your browser to remove local preferences and authentication information.
• Email us to request account or data deletion.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
